Helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergency situations.

First Aid, Adult CPR/AED ($45)

All classes are held at the American Red Cross of the Heartland classroom (One Westport Court, Bloomington) unless otherwise indicated.

Learn the skills needed to prevent, recognize and provide basic care for injuries and sudden illnesses until advanced medical personnel arrive. This course covers first aid and adult CPR, featuring hands-on practice and real-life scenarios. Useful take-home course materials help you retain skills and serve as reference tools in an emergency. Meets OSHA Standards. This course also includes training in the use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) on a victim of sudden cardiac arrest.

This class is designed for individuals who are not professional rescuers. Nurses, Lifeguards, EMS students, athletic trainers and anyone else who requires training to provide CPR in a professional capacity should instead take CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer.
