Heartland Red Cross

Helping people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergency situations.

OUR MISSION

The American Red Cross is a humanitarian organization, led by volunteers, that provides relief to victims of disasters and helps people prevent, prepare for, and respond to emergencies. It does this through services that are consistent with its congressional charter and the fundamental principles of the International Red Cross movement.

The American Red Cross of the Heartland provides relief to victims of single family emergencies and community, national and international disasters.

Gift to My Chapter

A gift to the American Red Cross of the Heartland helps our chapter respond whenever disasters occur, provide a safe and adequate blood supply, teach people life-saving skills, and connect local families with their loved ones serving in the armed services.

Gift to the National Disaster Relief Fund

Help people affected by disasters like the recent tornadoes in Dwight, Streator and other cities across Illinois and Iowa, by donating to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. On those rare occasions when donations exceed Red Cross expenses for a specific disaster, contributions are used to prepare for and serve victims of other disasters.
